Meeting Minutes Jan '24 Keiran meets Kate from NP - happy for signage, weddings are legit and within their guidelines. It was proposed that official weddings have signage such that pilots know if a wedding is legit. Still need to pay Pete. Hooley Dooley maintenance - no clue. Ask John Harriott for help chasing grants - happy to help teach someone to chase grants. Flying in the last month: Jamie O flew to Redhead from Strezzie. Many members flew.

Meeting Minutes - Nov '23 Discussed status of Merewether launch. Kieran will be meeting Kate from National Parks. NHGC pays Pete Maheine for facilities and use, and in turn gets a susbsidy from the NSWHPA. Discussed possibility of winch towing training out of Denman (Pete's place).

Meeting Minutes Aug 23 Approvals for weather stations - WIP Winches - requires drivers, operators, observers, radio guys etc. Potential for kicking some $$ to Tony to cover increased insurance costs: No Tony, No School, No new pilots Letter to SAFA/State Assoc. in complaint about increased costs - infeasible to maintain schools. - Motion to send letter. - Request options, low hours, no insurance etc. President change for state assoc.

Newcastle Williamtown Airshow 23 (NWAS 23)

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in partnership with the City of Newcastle and Port Stephens Council is proud to announce the ‘Newcastle Williamtown Air Show 2023’ (NWAS23).

The biennial RAAF Air Show will be held over the weekend of 18 and 19 November 2023 in Newcastle and at RAAF Base Williamtown respectively. The NWAS23 seeks to recognise the relationship between Air Force and the community, in particular RAAF Base Williamtown and the surrounding Newcastle and Port Stephens residents.

NHGC AGM 2023 Minutes No approval yet for watagans weather station, WIP. NE Heaton, Hunter, SE Heaton - next meeting (Aug) Safety Issue - Flat setup, Kieran. Potential for wind to get under glider and cause harm/damage. Recommended to setup, then turn into wind. Gary H went to the US, good flights. General Business Potential for another flying weekend, sometime in spring. 'Training Weekend'? w/ Tony Barton. More events = Good for club health. Best Flight Award?
