HUNTER REGION HANG GLIDING CLUB

Date: 30 April 2025

(arrived late at 7:30 PM)
Apologies:
Jamie (at the farm), Shane Duncan (flooded in)
2. Meeting Opening
- Meeting commenced with a casual icebreaker: an interactive Kahoot! quiz on hang gliding
trivia
- Participants joined using personal devices, and the top scorer was john. Kieran’s lack of
understanding of the basic rules of hang gliding were highlighted.
Paddo was encouraged to take up hangliding
3. Confirmation of Previous Minutes

- Suggestion to include safety refreshers or quizzes in future meetings.
- Concerns raised about e-bike visibility and speed near the launch zone at Dixon Park due

- Council should be contacted regarding safety issues posed by bush visibility at Dixon park.
There is too much Bush!
6. Site Reports
- Ongoing maintenance and visibility issues discussed.
- Need for windsock installation at Camo’s.
- Weather station updates provided for Bungan and Dooleys.
Dixon Park - Challenges with council and vegetation management discussed following a
meeting with Council representative Andrew:
- Impressions of Andrew is that he is an unhelpful and lazy government drone and
probably the kind of guy that chronically masturbates over illegal dark-web material
in his spare time.
- Andrew appears to be unmotivated in any way to assist because it is just too difficult
for him.
- Andrew lowered club member’s expectations by saying that it will probably take
him several years to get around to finding the correct form to fill in and concerns
that their could be native plants amongst the weed (saltbush) that we would like to
not kill but simply trim.... it’s a lengthy process Andrew stated before checking his
phone.
Frustration expressed by club members over Andrew’s insipid lazy attitude, lack of action
and vague language regarding commitments. No one wants to break their back because of
Andrew’s lazy incompetence.
Suggestion made to send meeting minutes in email summarizing key discussion points in
attempt to prompt some accountability for lazy darkweb browsing Andrew.
7. Competition Reports

- Informal sharing of recent flying experiences at Dixon Park and other locations. Jamie and
Bill Pan had awesome fly on Saturday.
