North Coast Trip

Went up the coast on the weekend with my mate Tony, a paraglider pilot. We got to Pacific Palms on Saturday afternoon and it appeared to be perfect for Booti Booti at about 12:15pm. When we got to the take off the trees did seem a little high on either side of the slot and the streamer was obviously in rotor because to was saying SE. While I set up a FUN next to a nice new picnic table Tony laid out his sail. It did not look strong and as Tony got his wing above the trees it looked good and he had a nice take off and yelled down to me that it felt good.

Sunday Shoot out

I turned up at Bombala St yesterday expecting to see a horde of gliders in the sky, with standing room only at launch. I guess they are all up at Manilla.

The wind was straight in, and standing in the slot on launch, it felt like a good strength. I've launched with stronger wind at launch. I noticed lots of white caps everywhere. In future, I'll pay a bit more attention to the whitecaps.
