Standing at the kitchen sink looking out the window at the great clouds forming with a hangover. I knew it was going to be a big day.

I called Ebbs and he was on his way to Freeo to meet with the rest of the crew. I met every one at Draytons and loaded up the kite. On the way up the hill I had a hand full of ginger bears, an apple and some quells and was ready to go.

After a quick look at SE BB launch and some dithering Camo led the way to the north launch. After a talk about the weather and the goal for the day everyone set up and formed a queue with Chainsaw setting the pace. After waiting and waiting and waiting for the cycle of the century, Camo opted to launch first followed by Splint but after scratching and scratching both were in the bomb out.

Launch was in the shade this was great for the hangover sweating hooked in with helmet gloves etc on. After a lazy 1 hour wait Ebbs pulled the pin and I slotted into his spot, last. Next the sun was out and the rush was on, first Chainsaw, Les and myself laounching into light lift, I soon found a thermal in front of the spure and climbed to 4500 ft. I called Les on the radio and he said he was in good lift above launch so I blasted over there in the Fun and climbed to cloud base at 6000ft. WOW what a f---ing view I squarked over the radio f--- its cold up here I must have been excited.

I went on glide along the mountain heading south above Draytons.
I found another climb to 5000ft and then kept heading south to Mt View. I was in sink looking for more lift but with no luck I didn't want to chance heading south into the unknown so I decided to land at the sports field at Mt View high school in Cessnock.

The flight took me a little over an hour in the Fun 190 my PB off Brokenback The week before I had a PB to Lindemans and thought that was great. Its been a couple of days since the flight and I can't wait till the next. I'm addicted to the hangliding drug.

Steven Drayton from Ivanhoe Wines called me to say he was listening to our chit chat on channel 22, the channel of the day to say some of it was interesting.

Good flying everyone and thanks for the support and mid air tutorials.
