Thanks to Adriaan's suggestion and Dawson's trouble shooting user's now have the option of receiving an email notification when another user sends them a private message on this site.
The email will state the name of the user and provide a link to your messages area on this site. You will have to be logged in before you click the link or you will get a "Access Denied" message.
The option is turn ON for all users by default but they can turn it off if they want. To do this click on the E-mail notify button in your messages area.
