Hi All.
As I notified you all by SMS Kate from NPWS and I spoke a few days ago at which time she informed me that as a trial Merewether would be reopened to Pilots only from Thursday 16/04/2020. I spoke to her again yesterday and she assured me she would be putting up signs This morning 18/04/2020.
We will be monitored and if breaches are observed the site will be closed down again.
So whilst we can enjoy those southerlies again, please ensure you stick to the current regulations.
During this time the last thing any of us would want to have happen is for one of us to require medical attention due to an accident. So please be conservative, don't attempt to top land, take off through the SE rotor etc. Stay safe.
