To the NHGC members
In collaboration with National Parks we have a working B scheduled in for the 2nd Of August at Merewether Launch to prune the trees and remove weeds in front of Launch.
What to Bring - all volunteers are required to supply there own personal protective equipment, eg boots, long pants and long sleeve shirt, hat and sunscreen. plus bring your own water and morning tea/lunch and your glider just in cast its on for a fly afterwards.
When - Sunday the 2nd of August 2015 9am to early afternoon.
Important to know- all works are to be conducted under the direction of National Parks and you need to be there at 9am for the safety briefing before commencing works.
The goal is to regenerate the land in front of launch back to a coastal heath which will greatly improve the air flow and reduce turbulence on launch.
Bring pruning tools and gloves if you have them otherwise there will extra available on the day.
