Ever flown over Wean Racecourse, had it as a Waypoint or ended up driving past it, straight through the Boggabri Gap and wondering "what is a racecourse doing out here ? Must be from 100 years ago " Well that Racecourse has its day, once a year and that day is Sat 5th July. Wean Picnic Races, first race 12pm, people come from far and wide to this event. You can stay in Manilla or Boggabri, Gunnadah or anywhere around there and get the bus to the races. Check it out on the net, you might fancy seeing this place come alive.
